Answrii is an AI-powered FAQ helpdesk platform with Expert Q&A and Marketplace features. References to 'Answrii', 'we', 'our', or 'us' in this policy refer to the Answrii platform and its operators. Legal and privacy notices may be sent to legal@answrii.com.

Account information

When you create an account, we collect your email address and your authentication provider details (Google account name). We do not collect passwords - authentication is handled securely by Supabase Auth.

Usage data

We track FAQ page views, question submissions, and feature usage to enforce plan limits and improve the service. For logged-in users, usage is tracked by your user account ID.

FAQ content

When you create a FAQ page, we store your questions, answers, business name, and page settings. This data is stored permanently as it forms your published helpdesk.

Expert Q&A data

When a visitor submits a paid question, we collect and store: visitor email address (to send the answer), visitor name (optional), the question text, the expert's answer, payment amount and currency, payment gateway order and payment IDs, question status, and satisfaction/consent decisions. This data is retained for financial record-keeping and dispute resolution purposes.

Expert profile data

If you register as an expert, we collect your name, email, city, country, area of expertise, bio, website, and approval status. This data is used to match you with relevant paid questions.

Payment information

Payments are processed by Razorpay (India - INR) or Stripe (international - USD). We do not store your card number, CVV, or full payment details. We store transaction IDs, payment status, and amounts for financial record-keeping and payout processing.

Payout information

If you request a payout as an expert or FAQ owner, we collect your preferred payment method details (UPI ID, bank account number and IFSC code, or PayPal email) to process your earnings. This data is stored securely and used only for payout processing.

Marketplace data

If you register a Business Profile on the Answrii Marketplace, we collect your business name, category, city, country, website URL, logo, and description. This data is stored to enable discovery and placement on FAQ pages.

Analytics and cookies

We use Vercel Analytics to understand how visitors use our website. Analytics data is anonymized and aggregated. Analytics cookies are only set after you give consent via our cookie banner.

Contract performance

We process your email address, payment data, question content, and expert profile to provide the service you signed up for.

We use anonymized usage data to improve our service, prevent abuse, and enforce rate limits.

If you are located in India, we process your personal data under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 (DPDPA).

Consent

We rely on your consent for analytics cookies, storing your Business Profile, and storing your expert registration data.

Legitimate uses

We process account data, payment data, and question content for providing the service, processing payments, and preventing fraud.

Your rights under DPDPA 2023

As a Data Principal you have the right to: access information about personal data processed by us, correct inaccurate data, erase your personal data where we no longer have a lawful basis to retain it, and nominate another individual to exercise your rights. To exercise these rights, contact legal@answrii.com. We will respond within 15 days.

Grievance Redressal

Our designated contact for privacy grievances is the Compliance Team, Answrii, reachable at legal@answrii.com. Grievances will be acknowledged within 24 hours and resolved within 15 days.

For EU/EEA residents (GDPR)

You have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you, request correction of inaccurate data, request erasure of your data, object to or restrict processing, request data portability, and lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

For California residents (CCPA)

You have the right to know what personal data we collect, the right to delete your personal data, and the right to opt out of the sale of personal data. We do not sell personal data to third parties.

Email us at legal@answrii.com. For Indian residents we respond within 15 days; for EU/EEA residents within 30 days.

We use the information we collect to: provide and maintain our FAQ helpdesk and Expert Q&A services, match paid questions with appropriate local experts, process payments and hold funds in escrow pending question resolution, distribute earnings to experts and FAQ owners, resolve payment disputes, send transactional emails including answer notifications and payment confirmations, enforce plan limits, and improve our product.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising.

We use the following services to operate Answrii:

Supabase

Database and authentication. Stores your account, FAQ, question, expert profile, and payment data. Privacy policy: supabase.com/privacy

Anthropic Claude AI

Processes content for AI FAQ generation in real-time. Input is not permanently stored by Anthropic. See anthropic.com/privacy.

OpenAI

Used for generating semantic embeddings for Marketplace recommendations (Pro/Enterprise plans). Content is processed via API and not stored by OpenAI beyond standard API logging. See openai.com/privacy.

Razorpay

Payment processing for INR payments (India). Handles card, UPI, and netbanking transactions. We do not store card details. See razorpay.com/privacy.

Stripe

Payment processing for USD and international payments. We do not store card details. See stripe.com/privacy.

Resend

Transactional email delivery. Used to send answer-ready notifications to visitors, payment notifications to experts, and dispute alerts to our support team. See resend.com/privacy.

Vercel

Website hosting, edge network, and anonymized analytics.

Supabase Storage

Secure file storage for uploaded business logos submitted via the Answrii Marketplace.

Paid question data (visitor email, question text, expert answer) is stored permanently for the following reasons: financial record-keeping, dispute resolution, payout verification, and visitor re-access to their answer. Visitor email addresses are used solely to deliver the answer and are not used for marketing. If a visitor consents to public sharing of their Q&A, the question and answer may be displayed on the relevant FAQ page. Visitor names are never publicly displayed without explicit consent.

Essential cookies

Required for authentication and session management. These cannot be disabled.

Analytics cookies

Vercel Analytics cookies are only set after you give explicit consent via our cookie banner.

Managing cookies

You can manage or delete cookies at any time through your browser settings or our cookie consent banner.

Account data: retained while your account is active. Payment and transaction records: retained for 7 years for financial compliance. Paid question data: retained permanently for dispute resolution and financial records. Expert profile data: retained while your profile is active. Payout details: retained for financial record-keeping. If you delete your account, non-financial personal data will be removed within 30 days. Payment records cannot be deleted due to legal financial record-keeping requirements.

Answrii is operated from India. Your data may be processed by our service providers (Supabase, Vercel, Resend, Razorpay, Stripe, Anthropic, OpenAI) in the United States or other countries. When this occurs, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place through standard contractual clauses or provider certification under applicable frameworks.

Our service is designed for business use and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes via email. The date of the latest update is shown at the top of this page.
